When The Dust Has Settled-

When the dust has settled all ’round about

And the curtain lifted dissolving all doubt

When we’re once again counted as a body of one

And the divisions of time and age are undone

With the tasks of our earthly visit complete

Friends tied eternal – never to retreat

With the great plan revealed to one and to all

We’ll look ever forward and answer the call

We haven’t a clue of our relationships there

Or of those who are waiting & how much they care

Were we allowed to choose our time and place?

Is it by chance when we first see our partner’s face?

Our friends & our neighbors who we see each day

And those who we work with along the way

Were all in that council – the council on high

And chose as did we to live and to die

And can you imagine that a family trait

Is merely a random twist of fate?

Or do you wonder of those gone before

Is a family likeness forever more?

How special and treasured will the memories be?

When we look at our entire family tree

And share the memories of our lives on Earth

With those who shared our lives from birth
